Visa

For nationalities not mentioned in Country Lists (1) and (2) an express visa is issued on the same day through the Directorate General of Passport & Residency and by its sections in ROP headquarters in the regions. An application form must be submitted locally through an Omani commercial or tourist establishment or submitted through an Omani diplomatic mission or commercial representation office abroad. It can be issued on Omani working days within 24 hours unless there are reasons for hindering the issue of the visa. The validity of the passport should not be less than 6 month from the application date.

Fee: OMR7 or an equal amount in other currencies.

Procedures : The visa application form should be completed and presented to the Directorate General of Passport & Residency locally through Oman tourist and commercial companies or establishments. It can also be presented to Oman diplomatic and commercial representation offices.

Validity: Two weeks

Extension Term and Procedures: By law this visa cannot be extended.

This visa has replaced the tourist visa, business visa and short visit visa which now cease to exist. This visa is issued to two groups of nationals:

o Nationals of countries in Country List 1 :

* Available upon arrival at all land, sea and air terminals, either to individuals or members of a group, regardless of sex or age.

Fee: OMR 6 or its equivalent in other currencies

Procedures: The visa is issued on arrival at all land, sea and air entry points after filling out and presenting the visa application form.

Nationals mentioned in Country List 1 can also obtain this type of visa on application from Omani diplomatic missions and commercial representation offices.

Missions and offices can issue visas without the need to obtain the approval of the Directorate General of Passport & Residency in Muscat .

The validity period of the applicant’s passport should not be less than 6 months.

* Validity: One month

* Extension Term and Procedures:Can be extended for one month under the same conditions and at the same cost. The extension application should be presented to the Directorate General of Passport & Residency or its sections in the regions.

* Fee: OMR 6 or its equivalent in other currencies

o Nationals of countries listed in Country List 2 :

* Available upon arrival in Oman through air entry points only, either to individuals or members of a group.

Applicants should have purchased a complete tourist package from specified tourist companies in their countries which have been approved by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

The package should include accommodation and air ticket using a national airline i.e. Oman Air or Gulf Air. These visas are granted regardless of sex or age.

* Fee: OMR 6 or its equivalent in other currencies

* Procedures : This visa is issued on arrival in Oman through air entry points only after completing the visa application form.

* Validity: One month

* Extension Term and Procedures: The visa may be extended for an additional month for OMR 6. The extension application should be presented to the Directorate General of Passport & Residency or its sections in the regions.

Nationals who are eligible for this type of visa include all nationals in Country Lists (1) and (2) regardless of sex, age and profession. The validity period of the passport of the applicant for such a visa should not be less than one year at the time of applying.

It is also possible to get such visas through Omani diplomatic and commercial missions as well as through the Directorate General of Passport & Residency and its sections in the regions.

Omani diplomatic and commercial missions may issue this visa to nationals mentioned in Lists (1) and (2)

The validity of the applicant’s passport should not be less than one year.
Visa Validity: One year.

This type of visa allows its holder to stay in Oman for 3 weeks on each visit during the validity period of the visa. A minimum of 3 weeks must elapse between each visit.
Extension Term and Procedures: This type of visa cannot be extended. It is possible to apply for a new visa when the previous visa expires. A fine of OMR 10 per day is charged for an overstay beyond the validity of the visa.

Nationals set out in Country List 1, arriving in the Sultanate from the Emirate of Dubai whose passports bear an entrance visa or stamp for the Emirate of Dubai are not required to obtain a separate visa for Oman.

The entry stamp/visa for Dubai is recognized for entry to Oman, for individuals or members of groups entering through land, air or sea entry points, regardless of sex or age. The appropriate paperwork must be completed on entry.

* Fee: No fees are charged. Fees are only paid to the relevant authorities in the Emirate of Dubai.

* Procedures : A joint application form is available at the airport and sea port and at Hatta Hotel for those arriving through the Al Wajaja border crossing, and must be completed before entry.

* Visa Validity: The bearer of the visa is allowed to stay for the period of the visa issued to him by the relevant authorities in the Emirate of Dubai or a maximum of 3 weeks for nationals who do not require entrance visas to the Emirates.

* Extension Term And Procedures: The visa may not be extended and the visitor is required to leave when the period expires. A fine of OMR 10 per day is charged for an overstay beyond the validity of the visa.

It is granted to a foreigner who is resident in any member state of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC), provided that his occupation is not of low grade. It is also granted to members of their families, relatives and those in their company as long as they enter together.

Fee: RO 3(RO 1 for entering Musandam Governorate Only )
Requirements:
1- An applicant must have valid residence permit in an AGCC state
2- They should be in an occupation approved for entry.
3- Their passport must be valid for not less than 6 months.
Visa Validity: four weeks.
Extension Term And Procedures: The visa is extendable for one week.

Fee: RO 3(RO 1 for entering Musandam Governorate Only )
